I see this also

I never really use those buttons to go to the next message. I tested it on my 8.5.3 client and it gives me the same message. If I slow the clicks I was less likely to get the message. This was the case on windows and mac clients too.

I did notice that if I just press the enter key on the keyboard, I can zip through emails without a please wait message.

I recall this being an issue in a previous version too. It seems to be one of those things that was fixed a couple of times before, but somehow it keeps finding it's way back into the client.
